The democrat mayor of Baltimore doesn't want to take credit for all the killings, but he should.
It's under his watch that the violence and crime has flourished.
It's not going to change as long as democrats not willing to take credit are in charge.
We all know this!

Thoughts and prayers, y'all...thoughts and prayers! Why oh why won't Republicans swoop in to save us from ourselves?!

You know who does take credit for these 5 years of dramatically increased crime rates? Larry J. Hogan. That's why Republicans are so much better. The mayor is all like "I've been mayor for 5 months, papp, not 5 years" and Hogan's all "hey, I know someone who's been in office for 5 years! Gimme that credit!" Really good work that Hogan did turning things around almost overnight after, like, 25 years of those stupid Democrats with their declining homicide count.

He is responsible. But don't act like this problem doesn't happen in other democrat run cities as

it always does. It's getting worse with the democrat dems in Baltimore.

What do you want the republicans to do? Come up with false accusations against the Democratic politicians so they can be impeached and undo the elections that put them into office? It's only Democrats that do that sort of thing. The Republicans need to be invited in by the electorate. You know, the people who need change, need to vote Republican unless they want the same old, same old.

Yes, Republicans have *never* tried to crucify their political rival (who had been fairly and definitively elected) via impeachment *cough Clinton cough,* and woe is them that their leadership is so unattractive that they “need to be invited in by the electorate.” And god forbid we could recognize that the problem is not partisan but more strongly rooted in systemic racial and socioeconomic issues that have plagued major cities across the U.S. But yes, let’s assume that Republicans would just magically be able to reverse all of these issues...not that they don’t lead some of the most violent states in America, too.

Christ on a cracker of cognitive dissonance.

*Sigh* It's a two party country. When one party fails you, your only option is the other party. This is what happens on a national level frequently, and at a state level occasionally too. Even the GOP can win the Governor's mansion in Maryland because of this basic constraint on our political process.

I don't believe in silver bullets, but to completely dismiss the idea that swapping out the ruling party in the city could lead to some possible improvements is just as foolish as the silver bullet idea. Municipal elections should be non-partisan. Let the people vote on the candidate without a D or R behind their name, all it does is allow the poorly informed to prop up the existing power structure. There is no liberal or conservative way to fill a pot hole.

I dunno about that. I think a conservative utopia would look something like this: https://www.pavingforpizza.com/
Liberal utopia would look something like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comme...hole_problems/
