LOL, you guys didn't see the point. A team that started the season off losing a lot could somehow turn their season around and squeek into the postseason. Then right before the postseason, a couple of key players could get put on the DL. Therefore dimming there chances of making it past the first round. It's happened before. They fall in 3 straight games, and look like they are nowhere close to the competiveness of their opponent.
Phils were the best NL regular season team, but 4 teams per league is fine, and the team who played best during the series won last night. Both played well, but SL played better.
"good pitching beats good hitting in a short series" I guess you can throw that theory out the window.
