I'm def excited. But at the end of the day the scary part is even with both of these big signings. We can just as easily be swept in a 5 game series next playoffs. Yamamoto could get knocked out in the 2nd inning & Ohtani could struggle in his first post season games. I know that's thinking negatively but it's reality of what could happen.
That's what he says. Last few years it's always been kind of whether he comes back to LA or goes to Texas (Rangers). I think Kershaw hates knowing his last game so far was a disaster (game 1) & would think the last thing he wants is for his last game to be that one. But at the same time I sometimes wonder if he just wants to move on and play for the Rangers so he can play for the team he grew up rooting for & have a good chance at winning a WS with. So many new faces in LA last couple years I feel like for Kershaw it's just not the same.
As of today, Mookie Betts has five HRs, more than some teams. Awesome start.
A publicity black eye for the Dodgers who pressured a girl to give back to the team the baseball that was Ohtani's first HRs as a Dodger. Not a good look.
