Thanks to Melo and the Nuggets Org. The Nuggets Org. is at fault because from day one they have not handled getting Melo traded appropriately. The first trade that collapsed with the Nets was the Nuggets being greedy therefor holding up the trade so other teams who were involved pulled out causing the deal to collapse.

Now the Nuggets have done the same thing again, kept the Nets in limbo when the Nets have gave them everything they're asking for yet they still was trying to hold out for something better. Then you have Melo acting like he's not involved with anything thats going on in the attempt to save his rep but he has yet to realize him not signing the extension and putting his home up for sale, states his future does not have Denver in it. This deal should have been done long time ago. No one team was able to put together a favorable deal but the Nets, yet the Nuggets Org. still kept them hanging and there was no reason for them to do that.

At this point the Nuggets deserve to be left with nothing when Melo walks.

Well, thank goodness. The Nets owner finally had the sense to pull plug on the deal talk since it was clear that Melo was not willing to go to the Nets. When you see that the ongoing talks about dealing Melo the Nets was having negative effects on the morale of the organization, it is time to look forward. And that is exactly what the owner did.

Melo is just a spoiled brat.

^^^Yup I think Melo's comments to the press about him not wanting to meet with anyone from the Nets Org. did it. The Nets don't have time to be getting caught up in the games the Nuggets and Melo are playing.

The commentator on ESPN says he still believes the deal is going to get done and the Nuggets aren't going to let their best offer walk away. If I were the Nets I wouldn't talk to Denver anymore unless they show me a Melo signed contract.

I'd care more about this thread if it weren't about a top 10-20 player in the league possibly moving from one meaningless playoff team to another.

Well, I heard this AM that since the Nets are out of it, they are desperately trying to get him to the Bulls. I really, really do not want the bulls to trade any of their "big 4" Rose (obviously not going anwhere), Booze, Deng, or Noah. There is the uncertainity of not knowing where Melo will sign a long term deal and aside from that, the Bulls have a humble bunch of guys that seem to work really hard and respond well to coaching. Melo is a good scorer, but I don't see how he makes this Bulls team that much better and I don't think he shares the attributes that our core does. I really enjoy the fact that this Bulls team is not only good, but likable.

I'd give up Deng and some picks or something but wouldn't touch the other 3.
In that atmosphere of hard work, defense etc. Melo might actually come into his own.

I still think Iverson just poisoned that whole franchise.

Yeah, I guess of the four Deng would be the only one that would not devestate me part with, but when this came up before it sounded like they wanted Noah as the center of the deal, who knows though, Denver may be getting desperate.

If I knew you IRL I would so buy you an Iverson jersey as a gag gift for your Bday or something.

Good points.

Sweet, an Iverson jersey....does it come with the certificate that lets me take credit for wins when I shoot 15-30 and blame the rest of the team for the loss when I shoot 7-30?

Hummm not sure if I like Melo on the Bulls. They seem to have a really good thing going on and I don't know how Melo would gel with the good chemistry the Bulls have already established.

Well looks like the Nuggets are finally seriously considering a Melo and Knicks trade along with 2 other teams that should take place during the All-star break...
