Honestly it'll probably be best for him anyway. I mean I don't really see the Nuggets improving next year and a big reason for that is because Karl is not a 100% and won't be when the season starts and who knows how his health will hold up throughout the season. So I guess it's best for Melo get out now plus his buddy Amare is already with the Knicks and his other buddy CP3 wants to go to the Knicks as well. So they'll have their big 3 in a Knicks uniform.
Don't worry, even when Karl is 100%, he can't coach a team when it really matters.

Unfundamentally sound ballers, mentally weak, you name it. The matchup against the Lakers where K-Mart could not inbound a ball should have told everyone this.

Beating the T-Wolves in January is one thing...

Should the Al Harrington signing make him want to sign??? This team better trade him or be prepared to lose him...Cleveland/Lebron style (probably not as well publicized). But seriously, this team is about to be purged and redone, K-Mart, Nene, JR Smith all free agents and Arron Afflalo (this kid is underrated) is a restricted free agent. All this and Mello probably gone, this franchise better get some value.

Supposedly if he hasn't signed by the start of training camp they're going to start working on trade deals.

The Houston Rockets, in particular, are maneuvering themselves into a position to make Denver a significant offer should they opt to deal Anthony at the trade deadline before they risk losing him in July.

There's a rumor floating there's a trade in the works for Melo to the Lakers for Fisher and Odom.

He wouldn't want to go to Houston... their market isn't big enough... New York or Cali is likely to be the only destinations he'd be interested in.

True about Houston, but you never know. Most likely he will go to NYC and not Cali. His good friend is Stoudemire. Also, if he does go to the Lakers, the Nuggets will want Bynum and Odom.
