Good for them, but they must understand that they share the arena and just like they can hang stuff up, the other teams can do the same as well. It's not like they do it during Lakers games. When the Lakers play, people will see their banners. What's the big deal? Why would I want to see another team's banners on my 'home court', especially when they are the competition?
I get that. But the Lakers have put their mark on that entire complex. Besides the four huge Lakers statues in the main plaza, the main entrance is on a street officially named Chick Hern Court.
Donald Sterling has been heavily courted by the city of Anaheim to move the Clippers to the Honda Center. And each time he declined. If the Clippers truly want to get out of the Lakers shadow they should take them up on that offer. There they can create an arena experience that is all their own.
It's an easy solution for the Lakers...just tell them to 'disrespect' the Clips back on nights the Lakers are home and cover up those 'annoying' Clipper banners with Laker history.

These banners are only hung during clippers games.
No disrespect at all. Nothing for the lakers to cover

Did the Lakers fund the Staples Center themselves? Did they produce the majority of the corporate support for its funding? No? Then they can ****.
Another Lakers fan here. I don't see a problem with it.
My question is if it's an LAL @ LAC game, will the banners be covered up?
