Wish I didn't even waste my time. Heat played 1.5 good qtrs of ball. Couldn't make a three for their life and execution in the 4th looked like it was the 2011 Finals. Defense was good, but didnt take advantage of the turnovers enough.

Ready to hear the Pacers are better than the Heat talk now.... Lets wait till the playoffs because the Bulls, Celtics or Pacers have been better than the Heat last year and the year before, and before that, but we all know what happened.

I will say this game makes me want a healthy Greg Oden more than ever. No answer for Hibbert but didnt have one for him last year too. And never thought I would say this during the season but Beasley was greatly missed. Battier is not looking good...

I told you our 3s have been weak. The one saving grace is Beasley was out with a strain, he could've done a much better job defending George than Ray Allen. Ray couldn't do ****. I was also surprised Battier didn't get more play he did the best of anyone keeping the paint clear during the first.

3s are starting to worry me a little bit. Bosh needs to stop shooting them that's the first thing which needs to happen. Battier is sooo off on his shot I'm glad he didnt play but that's where we missed Beasley a lot. Could have used his offense in the 4th too.

One game though. It was a "bigger" game for the Pacers than for the Heat and they showed it in the 2nd half. We play the Pacers at home next Wednesday, so quick turnaround to get them back hopefully.

Some dumbass on ESPN Radio Detroit tonight kept saying how the Heat were going to come out the gate and dominate the game from the get-go. He compared the Pacers to crossfit guys telling everyone how good they are constantly (which isn't the true, it has been the media hyping them up) and said the Heat were going to send them a message like they did against Jeremy Lin when Linsanity was going on. Then when the Pacers were up in the 3rd quarter he said the Heat were bored and toying with them like a cat toying with a mouse, and that they would flip a switch and take over the game late. Then when the Pacers won he never said a word about it again.

The Heat didn't look too happy tonight though, they should be fired up for Wednesday's game in Miami. I'll be a little surprised if the Pacers can come out of that one with a win.

I don't think Battier is really that off on his shot as much as a mentality issue across the board.

Chalmers, Cole, Battier, even Allen are all putting the ball on the floor much more. Lot more pick and role then we did in the last 3 years.

Once CJ Watson and OJ came in for the Pacers we could've even played Roger Mason Jr a bit. He hasn't been bad on defense or the 3-ball, it would've done him some good to get play time against a high caliber team.

Its also clear that guys are really starting to adapt to the Heat's system. It took them 3 years but James is going to have to mixup his passing. He's not telegraphing but its still predictable because he's been making the same cross court passes every game. Thats how the Pacers got a few interceptions last night.

Agreed with everything you said. And this is where Beasley is a game changer because even though his career has not been great so far he is still one of the more offensively talented and athletic guys in the league. He can create his own shot without anyones help. And of course a healthy Oden would change games like this instantly. Just 12-15 mins of him a game.

Pacers should have a cake walk to the ECF given that the only decent, healthy opposition is Miami. That means another crappy boring EC playoffs until those 2 teams meet up.

Frankly, I still give Miami the edge as the better team largely due to their more extensive playoff experience....however, that is an "in general" comment as the Pacers match up well against Miami.

So, barring anything crazy occurring...it wouldn't shock me to see the Pacers in the Finals this year.
