True, but the Spurs are only going to shoot 55% (?) FG very often either.
They did it in FINALS games 1, 3 and 4 last year....and maybe game 5 if they don't put in the deep bench after sitting on a 20ish point lead by the 3rd quarter.
They are going to do it every other night (or better) against Clevelands defense.
Cleveland is pretty good, I think that they need better D to win a championship though.
So, not dogging on them, jsut pointing out the (obvious) next step because let's face it....they don't want another finals appearance or two ending in losses. They want a title.
Was in attendance last night to see the Mavs get a very sloppy 107-102 win over the lowly Magic. But a win's a win, and that's three in a row. (improving Dallas to 44-25) Plus, Dirk hit five 3's and Dallas is now 5-0 this season when he hits at least four.
Wow! The Cavs absolutely humiliated the Grizzlies tonight in Memphis! Did anyone see the game? If so, what happened? I only watched the highlights, and it looked really ugly for the Grizzlies. A month ago the Grizzlies were my pick to win it all; now I might have to rethink that. I know it's only one game, but still.

The Spurs also spanked the Thunder, but the game was in San Antonio, and without KD I don't want to read too much into it.
Actually I don't take the Grizzlies seriously anymore because not only did they get blown out at home, but they also lost to detriot and boston a couple of weeks ago which is unacceptable since both teams are under .500.

The Cavs also lost to the Knicks this year, and the Spurs last week, should we discredit them for losing (Cavs at home no less!) to the worst team in basketball?? There's 20 more games in a season then is necessary, when we get to March when teams like the Grizz & Spurs are fully entrenched in a playoff spot, you get games like those.

I think the Grizzlies have hit cruise control. They don't have a lot to play for right now but they need to get the momentum going or they will be out early in the playoffs.
I watched and I haven't witnessed a Cavs team move the ball like they did last night. Look at the assist the line- it wasn't just one guy setting up the offense. Looks like the Griz tried to bring it for a quarter and half and were still down.
I don't get "awed" by a game but the Cavs are 14-1 in the their last 15 games against the Western Conference. 28-6 I believe in their last 34 games.

After the Grizzlies had that meltdown against Detroit, they went back on the road in Dallas and controlled the game throughout.
Detroit, however, has actually gone 22-21 since releasing Josh Smith in December. Since then, they've surprised (and beat) teams like Cleveland (103-80), San Antonio, Dallas (108-95), Toronto twice, Houston (114-101), Miami (108-91), Chicago twice, Washington (106-89), and then Memphis. They recently went on a 10-game losing streak, too, that really hurt their chances in the playoff hunt. But you consider that, they went from 5-23 to 23-33 of the time that streak started. They were 18-10, that's playoff basketball! Especially in the East!

And Detroit was actually playing even better before Jennings went down. Never thought I would say that.
