Jalen Green I observe recruits friends. My gut tells me he did so with Kai Sotto in the G League Ignite. And my gut tells me he may have something to do with Josh Christopher and Daishen Nix joining him in Houston.

I would not be surprised that Rockets pick one of the 3 he mentioned in the linked article above but please not Jaden Ivey. Rockets need a big so Chet or Paolo would be a nice pick for them.

Sad that he is not close to Jalen Duren though.

I like Paolo. I think he is going to have a great career. Chet. I worry about injuries with him. Most guys with his size and frame run into injury trouble. Most recently Bol Bol. In 9 games for Oregon he averaged 21ppg and 9rb shooting 52% from the 3 point line. Three years in the NBA and its been non stop injury issues.

Good observation! The 7 footer I would get is Mark Williams from Duke. He's a traditional "big". Meaning he doesn't shoot 3's but he slots in the middle just fine. Reminds me of Deandre Ayton of the Suns. Don't think he will fall to the Knicks but would be nice if he did.

I wonder if it's right to relent to Jalen Green's whims. It's not like he's proven anything beyond what is already known -- that he's a gifted athlete who struggles to defend and struggles to score when defended by a strong opponent.

I say let him prove himself a winner first by fixing those 2 concerns above. In his second to last game, which was against the Raptors, he struggled mightily scoring only 8 points. Those are the games he should flex his improvement, if any, upon but he failed.

Otherwise, it's like having a brat child in the organization.

Condolence to Danuel House who happened to wear #4 jersey.

I would risk it for Chet if he's still available. Maybe Bol bol took one for the 7-footer Injury Club.

The question is, does Jalen Green like him? I say they get Isaiah Todd who plays like Chris Bosh. He'll be the new Christian Wood except Todd and Green had become friends with the Ignite team.

I think it would be ridiculous to relent to Jalen Green's whims. This is not summer camp hanging out with your friends. That is why you have a GM and upper management.

If not proven yet to be able to carry teams to victories, I agree. GM should dictate who to get and assemble. Now, Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and the likes, then can get their whims since they have proven themselves. Jalen Green could work into that situation in the future. I would certainly feel bad if they get Ivey.

Looks like Chet Holmgren is off the table for Rockets. That sucks. This only solidifies Sengun as Rockets starting Center, which can be a good thing because now they can plan ahead.

Despite Holmgren out of reach, the good news is one of 2 other tall talented players will be available for them -- Smith or Banchero. They will probably prefer Banchero. Banchero benefits Rockets in defense, rebounding and, unlike Smith, is more of a complementary to Green.

Oh and Green wants Banchero so that is a BIG BONUS. You have seen how Jalen's hits a good chemistry with Josh and Daishen. Now, a big in Banchero gets into the blender. Then we have improving players in Sengun, Garuba, KMJ. And then Matthews, our 3pt specialist.

I would prefer KPJ as a 6th man. Rockets need a scorer off the bench and he and Jalen plays same style -- scorer mentality. Rockets need to elevate Nix or Josh as starting PG. Both can handle the rock and distribute, especially Nix.

The long rumor is over. Wood traded. He went to Mavs and Rockets got 26th pick.

Who is Rockets targetting at 26?

My thoughts:

3 - Banchero/Holmgren
17 - Eason
26 - Koloko/Chandler (depending on who they got at 3)
