The Milwaukee pick will be late first round. I don't see Brooklyn tanking on purpose since they don't have their own 1st round pick. So it comes down to Houston.

They could not have scripted this but it's astounding how they compare.

With that, it's becoming clearer the identity of Rockets -- the LA Lakers Champion Team with these guys:

Kobe Bryant - Jalen Green
Pao Gasol - Alpe Sengun
Lamar Odom - Jabari Smith Jr.
Derek Fisher - KPJ
Andrew Bynum - Tillman/Fernando
Trevor Ariza - Tari Eason
Jordan Farmar Daishen Nix
Sasha Vujacic - Josh Chrisopher

Kobe had two important things going for him when he won his first title besides talent. Shaq and Phil Jackson.

Right. That is why I think Rockets see Jalen as Kobe Replica and since there are no Shaq and Phil Jackson, the next goal was to get the Pao and Lamar which they did in Alpe and Jabari. They still need a 7 footer Bynum. That is the missing piece -- a hole in the middle who can block shots and get rebounds. Jamarion Sharp is still available, they should sign him.

Its hard to get all the pieces right and you need some luck. In 2000 with Shaq and Kobe They were down 16 in game 7 in the 4th quarter against Portland in the Western conference finals. It looked like it was over for them. Then they roared back. Won the game and series and the championship. If they had lost that series Shaq could have wanted out and whole different future would have happened.

With the Rockets the players have to develop and when its time to decide who to give big contracts to in a few years and which ones walk. You have to get that right. Look at OKC. KD, Harden and Westbrook. All three future MVP's. Westbrook stuck around the longest and it should have been KD and Harden who stayed. KD and Harden in their prime together would have been unbeatable.
