I love it when it snows like that up until it happens so many times it seems that I am doing is snow removal all winter!

Yep, and since my new driveway is 425 feet long, even a snow blower isn't going to cut it.

Haha, sure! I was so happy for my nephew to visit & play in it when my sister came to Bend a few years ago. One look inside though & she didn't want her 2 year old playing in it. Guess I never actually inspected it much before that.

Tomorrow is supposed to be trash pickup day in my area of Redmond. Not sure if those big trucks can navigate our unplowed side streets. How many plows does ODOT have in Central Oregon?

Don't you remember when they couldn't get all the streets in Denver plowed so they sent all the trash trucks out to pack the streets down?

That worked real well...........

Denver blizzard of 1982 - I had moved to Conifer a couple years earlier and the snow was even deeper. Jeffco had snowplows at Critchell, which was only half a mile from my house, so the main road was cleared. Bill McNichols lost to Federico Pena in May, largely due to the trash truck fiasco.

For another fun progression look at the eye on Bend Archive, Feb 7 archive. (east view from the brewery) late in the day watch the snow pile up.
