Scarily, no, there are oftentimes some questionable things added to those products (luckily not dead shelter cats and dogs)! Which is why I belong to the "have not eaten a hotdog or hamburger meat in decades" group.

I ate part of one in Peru, last summer. Tasty is not a word I would use to describe them. Little meat and lots of splintery bones. Yuk! Still, the flavor is milder than cat.
