Hi thinking of reloca
tng to Kona? how is the job situation over there? Is is hard to find work?? Can you get by with one job. I have a brother over ther and he has struggled but something tells me it might be just him..lol MAHOLO

Why don't you ask the unemployed people in Kona? For your knowledge of the Hawaiian language, history ect... I believe your mistake of spelling the word mahalo says it all. Do some research. The 'Shoals of Time' is a fair book for people to read about Hawaiian History, but comes no where near to describing the atrocities forced onto the Hawaiian People. If someone is planning on moving here and doesn't recearch the history, they are just as guilty as the people who overtook the Queen. Look up what Queen and why and go further about how the missionary workers and business men who outlawed the Hula and attempted to reduce the culture to ashes were almost successful. Everyone who wants to move here; step into reality and read. Then consider taking some of that money you have and donating to a Hawaiian People cause/group (there are many). When doing your research you will be shocked to find out that the Hula was originally a Kata taught from chieften to chieften, when the King (look it up) re-instated the Hula women were beginning to perform it and the male tourist loved it. Hence, in the late 1960s a resurgence of male halau's have restored the position for men to do the Hula (out in the open) again. Thank-you America. I could go on and on, but I hope you get the point. Hawaiian History is also availible on the web. Also, check out the dissent over Hawaii's 50th state anniversary of statehood.
