Everything always looks so glossy and bright on a computer screen. So I'm guessing in the flesh (or brick or wood, or whatever) all of it will look a lot better. I keep forgetting about the unique lighting they have planned. And you are so right, the whole area could use more light at night.

Based on what they've done with Baker's Row, they could probably use the existing building. However, I also know that this is now really high value property... So, someone will probably want to build higher.
there's a hotel going in a block away. plus that springhill suites is nearby. i'd rather give the railroad park view to residents.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it too. But I think we've just about got it covered with the right mix. Too bad there aren't some highrise condos nearby.

EDIT: You had just posted this...

All these apartments and dorms. A CB2 right there in the middle of it would probably clean up.

Kamtek plans huge expansion in Birmingham - Birmingham Business Journal

More jobs, expanding suppliers - always a good thing. Should be hearing about Aston Martin's decision here pretty soon. Hope the metro wins out.

Yeah, I saw that and glossed over it and thought I'd read it already...but was pleasantly surprised to see it was even more - much more. A half a billion is a pretty good chunk of cheddar to invest.
