After a relatively mild november, December was not as friendly since many cold days and nights came to the area. I suffered a head-cold from the 1st thorugh 7th of the month and it was brutal having to deal with the coldness and the freezing mist.

The incredible amount of rain that fell in September only continued and intesified in October 2009. This month started out with cloudy and wet days for the first half of the month. By the second half of the month, we still had inches of rain but we are able to see some perfectly clear skies a few days. EL NINO TO THE RESCUE!

We finally had a month with not just above normal rainfall, but much above!!! With 6.35 inches, that is more than double the average rainfall of 3.00 for September. In the whole month, there were 11 days with registered rainfall. Most of this rain fell around the 10th associated with the first major cool front of the year. Then the rest fell on around the 23rd.

Basically, August 2009 followed June and July in XTREME heat and tied August 2006 for the warmest August and 2nd warmest month after July 2009.

Rainfall was low again, matching June 2009's total with .45 inches.
