Droughts becoming less frequent

Posted 08-24-2022 at 06:51 AM by Cambium

A major environmental problem, droughts, is actually decreasing. While they say climate change "could" increase them the data shows they have not yet which is opposite of what is being told to us. Nobody can predict the climate and weather future 10 days from now let alone decades.

Updated 02-13-2019 at 04:52 AM by Cambium

Without getting into too much detail as the why's, I just wanted to start keeping a list of all these impressive cold and snowy events.

We all know weather and climate is like a 100 piece puzzle. It will never be just 1 reason something happens. It's a marriage of things. So While I want to mention the melting arctic ice, and the Polar Vortex splits, and the North Atlantic current or blocking, or the Pacific blob, I need to keep this to just when these cold events happen....

Snow Weight

Posted 04-15-2018 at 06:48 PM by Cambium

Snow (on average weighs 20 lbs per cubic foot) take a roof average of 2,000 sq ft x 2 ft (of snow) = 4,000 cubic ft. X 20 lbs per cubic foot = 80,000 pounds. That’s like a loaded semi tractor and trailer parked on your roof.
