We want to plan a trip up to Boise for the fall and would like to time it with any local fall festivals that might be in the area. The husband loves to drink beer, so Oktoberfest type stuff would work for him. I like to go to craft fairs, farmers markets or something like that. Really hoping for cool weather and pretty fall colors too.

Any ideas on timing for this trip would be helpful!

Would you be here in September or October?
There are several city fall events both months.

Here are a few of the larger events:

Art in the Park is in September. I believe this is the largest art vendor event in the Northwest.
Boise Art Museum - Art in the Park

Hyde Park Street Fair is also in September.

Every Saturday is the Farmers Market in Downtown.

I know there are several events throughout October, here is a link for Fall For Boise which is a ton of Fall city events, including beer events throughout September and October.

Thank you for your reply! This is exactly the type of info I was hoping to find. Not sure which month will work out better just yet, so we are still kind of in the planning stages.
