I will be moving to Boise next month and will need to find a Catholic church. My current church (in Los Angeles) is fairly politically conservative (but very casual as far as what you wear to church, etc). I am looking for something like that in Boise/Meridian. Does anyone have any opinions as to which Catholic church has a more conservative take on the world (i.e. Israel, the military, abortion and elected officials who are supporters thereof, etc.)? Thank you.
There is a great Catholic Latin mass community in New Plymouth, ID.....40 minutes from Meridian out I-84.....meets every Sun at 10 am.....The priest comes every Sunday.....I love the latin mass and they are conservative..... (208) 888-9631....Greg Mathiason is the coordinator
I don't know about the Latin Mass group, but in general, I've been told that the bishops are a bit more liberal---tend to be offshoots of the Mahoney-southern Cal crowd. HOWEVER, I know a number of solid convert families in the Nampa/Caldwell area, very devout, follow church teaching, etc., even though their parishes do not fully reflect this. So there are folks out there, if you get to know them.
