I am almost done, probably tonight or tomorrow. How about NJKate and anyone else who wants to join us?
I am thinking of opening the discussion thread on Wednesday...

Does anyone remember me? I joined the book club over a year ago and couldn't participate because my computer crashed and I haven't gone online in almost a year. I would still be interested in the book club if I am able to join again. Thanks

Hi! We just read/discussed The Year of Fog.
Of course you are welcome!, we just don't have anything in the works at the moment. Feel free to bring up an older discussion or propose a new one!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I will visit the library either today or tomorrow and scope out the new book section and see what's available. Maybe something from there or the book store will catch my eye. I'll get back to you as soon as I can come up with some titles.

I definately want to keep discussing books here with you guys...but I have to have a bit more time! I have 2 books to read (and aquire!) before the end of the month, and one for another online discussion.

I, too, am not excited to read "religious" books. But The Shack seems to be a good "thinkers" book, which does appeal to me. So I won't cross it off.

Others which I am reading for above groups:
Lolita
Mama Makes up Her Mind
Three Cups of Tea
and, I just swapped books with a friend...we agreed to read each other's favorites which we would not normally choose! and his is Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy

If any of these sounds good to the group, it would be great for me! Of course, I don't need my arm twisted to read something else!

Here are some that are in my "pile"

A tree grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith

The Space between us by Thrifty Umrigar

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary and Shaffer and Annie Barrows

The Worst Thing I've done by Ursula Hegi

Any interest in any of these?

I will look up the ones you mentioned Lola
