When does am rush hour traffic start thinning out on 128/95 north? Specifically the stretch between 24 and route 9... I've been going in early to avoid rush hour, but work allows me to be flexible, and I was hoping to try an after am rush hour commute. I'm just wondering when the best time after 9am would be? 9:15? 9:30? Later?

Thanks!

Haven't been in Boston in a long time but I did the commute for 10 years.
It used to thin out by 9:30-10 sometimes earlier in the summer months

I was headed in the opposite direction this morning. I got on a rt. 9 at about 8:50 and traffic on the other side seemed to be moving but still heavy. I'd say around 50mph. By the time I got to the 95S exit traffic on the other side was completely fine. They are doing some sort of construction in the Dedham area and 128/95N can be a complete parking lot at 11am, 1pm, etc. I'd say leave sometime between 9 and 9:15 and you should be fine. I'm guessing they start construction after the AM rush dies down so you'll want to get through before that.
