Well anyone reading this I'am a August 2011 College Grad from California with a Accounting/Finance degree looking to move out the Boston to look for work. I live in Fontana, CA (Los Angeles Suburb) where the unemployment is 13.2% per March 2012 U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report vs Boston, MA where the unemployment is 5.5%. How hard would it be to get a entry level job in the business field in Boston whether through a company or staffing agency? Also dont know what part of Boston is best suited for me......Anyone have any ideas? Any ideas would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Need:
Economy info, Cost of Apts, Houses, ect..
Job pay.

Yes I can find all this on-line but prefer getting info from someone living in Massachusetts.

Come with LOTS of money to support you until you find employment. Boston is very expensive, especially for housing. My grand daughter has an appartment in the area of Northeastern University where she is a 3rd year student. She and her room mate pay $1000 each for their place and were required to sign a years lease which is customary everywhere. It is possible to get a sub-let if someone you know is willing to do that. It would make it a easier if you were aquainted with someone that is already living in Boston. That aside it is a great city and with the right employment I'm sure you would love it.

Consider a place like Worcester (and surrounding) as well. The housing is much more reasonable and you still have access to the Boston job market. You could try commuting until you get established and have a better idea of what area you would like/can afford.
