Also, a lot of the police you see in AM are paid details.

I understand you’re point b it I’m really not convinced that any of the notable DC areas for nightlife have as equivalent a violence:fun ratio as theatre district. I mean it’s really been some serious and ongoing issues there for a long time which I think give “nightlife” a really bad name in Boston. The current drink spiking thing , the jasiel Correia kidnapping, the Aaron Hernandez murder, and many many other shootings and murder in TD is actually cause for concern IMO.

https://www.universalhub.com/chinatown/theaterdistrict I wish this could go back 5-7 years especially

There’s always a possibility in wrong but just as a young person in both areas relatively recently there’s something off about some of Boston theatre district/Chinatown vibe/safety/reputation. DC does feel better for reasons you stated. I don’t think their 3am close hurts at all either.

AM may have nightlife but it's not a "downtown" area it's an outlying neighborhood and attracts a generally neighborhood crowd or at least a crowd with business or proximity to that area. The theater district is decidedly a downtown/business area that attracts crowds from a range of other areas, as well as people downtown for other nefarious reasons. I also think the business improvement districts in DC are much more inclined to hire police than in Boston and in some cases are ordered to.

I'm inclined to believe this.

This is not specific to Massachusetts but interesting nonetheless. This will have implications on getting an accurate picture of crime in the United States.

Well I will give Wu credit for making her first adult decision. The world looks a lot different when you are in a position that requires serious decisions and not just fantasy playtime and virtue signalling.

Not really, she's just trying to protect the slush fund. How else is she going to pay all her green new equitable racial climate reparation justice "consultant" buddies?

Well I don't think she will be able to divert any funds without oversight of BCC and a public process. If anybody actually pays attention.
