Very sad. Hope Wu is on it and not just saying, it's not ok.

Wu doesn't care about crime. Point blank. Sad it happened and sad it was Egleston Square, that was very predictable. The kid was shot at the crossroads of Bragdon Street and Academy gangs.

But Wu she never even pretended crime was on her agenda. Most folks feel Boston is safe enough so unless there is an actual major uptick in crime there will be continued apathy.

Building her resume for the national stage. Fact is, cleaning up the streets and keeping families in town is not what brings in big donations from out of state progressives.

A major uptick and/or it'll have to start getting a lot more random and impact the more affluent residents who aren't currently affected. It's no secret that the most violent crime in Boston largely impacts a small subset of the population in a handful of neighborhoods (or pockets of neighborhoods in many cases). And while urban crime (especially the more brazen incidents) has been heavily politicized recently, seen renewed interest among many (particularly conservative) media outlets, and definitely been a focus for many Americans, it doesn't feel like most city dwellers are really alarmed at this point because it's just not affecting them all that much.

It seems to me that there has been an uptick in crime in Boston but I'm sure someone here will tell me it hasn't and Boston is perfectly safe as someone always seems to say.

According to this there's been an uptick:

https://www.axios.com/local/boston/2...%20last%20year

It's been widely reported that 24 Boston cops have left to become Boston firefighters. I suspect there will be more of that coming.

BPD has changed its reporting format in the last few months to mask a very uptick in violent crime. You can still see it it just requires more effort.

They had done the same crime reporting style since 2005.

Rape Robbery and Homicide are all down slightly.
-
-Domestic assault is up slightly. Non-Domestic Assault is up 7%.

-Violent crime is indeed up in every neighborhood- except for Roxbury and Dorchester where it is down.

-Total property crime is unchanged. It'd be down except there has been a 22% increase in the "E" Dsitrict, Hyde Park Westie Roslindale and JP. Everywhere else its declined.

Whoa homie, that’s quite a reversal! Let me guess - despite your absolute mastery of the race hustle comrade chairWumyn does not need any additional $150,000 directors of centered equitable diversity and you’re stuck ubering in hamsterdam?
