Kind of does if you are arguing that people get killed every weekend, then your argument is well people have been killed.

This started with BBMM claiming that "Summer has been very pleasant up there". BBMM is wrong.

Your up there is my right here.
And yes people get shot a lot in those particular regions of the city.
I don't feel less safe this year. I don't even feel not safe.
So I guess if you are down there all you can really do is either:
Look at the actual numbers (Which BBMM did and is reporting) OR
Find a bunch of news clips (and claim the place is a warzone)
neither represents the city in a whole great. But if I had to chose I would pick option 1 for accuracy

The unmentioned option is to keep your mouth shut, knowing full well that the summer is nowhere near over and there is plenty of opportunity for hell to break loose. Don't jinx us now.

To say that shooting are down so far this summer is not a controversial opinion. Is a fact.
Of course we don't know what is going to happen in August, but I rather be in a good place for now than already be in the poop.

Nothing at all wrong with noting that, but I say it's a little premature to "celebrate" just yet especially when people are still getting killed. You can call a milestone when the summer or year actually comes to a close.

Hartford also has 1/6 the population of Boston and a much smaller Metro and CSA.

All of us have lived in Boston, GP, so stop playing that stale card.

It may feel very pleasant for BBMM in comparison to Baltimore, and I can certainly understand that. The guy lives in a real war zone. I'm just saying..."very pleasant" isn't exactly accurate. And I don't think which days of the week murders are happening is relevant. Yes, I realize msRB311 said "every weekend". There's no need to nitpick.
