You do not actually - I'm at 824 and haven't carried an interest-accruing balance past the end of the billing cycle for the past 10 years at this point.

And to keep your credit score above 815 you have to have some.rolling balance. Then as soon as the next month hits you pay it off. Been doing that for 2 years and have an 830 credit score. It was nice to get a 3.2% car interest rate loan.

And If I want to enjoy a $4 coffee I most certainly can. I have no debt anymore, and a compounding Roth IRA, and three stock portfolios. I think I'm fine to enjoy that if needed... Especially when my rent in NJ is below $600

Don't school me on personal finances.

I don't know about bribes but he sure did funnel a lot of money to his union buddies. Ultimately though it's better to give that money to the unions that actually build or fix something than to give it to all the friends and relatives of heronnah with newly created racism-fighting job titles straight out of Jesse Jackson's Shakedowns For Fun And Profit who, needless to say, will build or fix absolutely nothing.

On another note-
Did you guys feel better when the outgoing Mayors priorities listed:
Being a union mafia boss and pocketing millions of dollars of tax money to take Union bribes?

Well no, it's preferential treatment and is indeed unethical but it's not a bribe - those unions actually performed a service in exchange for that money, they just didn't give anyone else a chance to offer to perform that service. Now, maybe you think otherwise but I would prefer a union getting a $10M no-bid contract to fix a road over seeing that $10M being spent on a newly created department to study the effects of racism on bird migration in Siberia while the road crumbles away.

Yeah... you should stop talking.
But according to your location, you don't even live in the state.

Haven't you heard? Those sufficiently enlightened(tm) are qualified to talk about places three galaxies over from us while those not enlightened aren't allowed to talk about anything across the street from then.

Yup. As long as the credit card companies report your current balance due each month, it helps your credit the score. Pay those current amounts in full each month during the grace period and you avoid paying any interest. I reached an 850 with Transunion and managed to stay there for most of 2020.

I paid off in like two years. 5 year loan is quite long for a car

Again, I'm not the one making ludacris claims about the residents of Boston. You probably should follow the beginning of the thread... It's about the Op Not me. The person who asked the question.. doesn't even live in the state. Not sure why you are singling my comment/deflecting the post purpose
