Hi--

My husband and I are looking at getting a place in Lynn, Massachusetts hoping that he can commute from there to Back Bay Station in a reasonable time frame every day. Does anyone know if the commute time posted by MBTA from Lynn station (between 37 and 40 mins or so) is accurate? Just want to be sure before we take any definite steps.

Feedback appreciated-- thank you everyone.

That's not including the time it takes you to get to Lynn's one and only Commuter rail station. If you live on the west or Northwest side of Lynn, it's 3 or 4 often congested miles to the T station. I like to take the T from Downtown to Lynn to work at Union hospital. The rail from downtown is easy, but the bus service through Lynn is less frequent. There is a big parking lot at Lynn station though.
