With the Amount of money your making and the price range on your house you may consider Hingham. Its really a beautiful upscale town with a great school system and a really cool town center. Its also right on the ocean. I believe the commuter rail runs through hingham as well.

Very few private schools near Hingham. Derby Academy is preK-9 and ridiculously competitive for admissions. A montessori k-8 in Scituate. A catholic k-8 school in Hingham. A private HS in Braintree.

The OP must be a super budgeter to be able to afford a 1.25 mill. house, plus 50 grand a year tuition on 250K a year!

I am moving to Boston too, and after a lot of research I found that Quincy, Milton, or Braintree are great areas but they are middle class (which is fine for me).
For upper income ($200K+), perhaps Cambridge would be good?

Your dollar doesn't go very far in Cambridge, and private school tuition is a killer--def. a stretch for the 200K budget.

There's a reason why everyone lives in the suburbs....
