I am looking for a nice seafood restaurant that sells crab, not just crab cakes, and whole lobsters. Preferably I would like it sort of near the New England Aquarium, but if not then that is fine.

Thankss

Barking Crab or No Name. Both touristy, both so-so.

Legal Seafoods is right there too...not one of my favorites but they do have great clam chowder. IMO very overpriced.

There must be some kind of good seafood restaurant in the North End (close to the aquarium).

The Barking Crab on Sleeper Street would be where you'd want to go in downtown Boston. They have a deck even though it's not on the water, well it sort of is, it's across the street from the Moakley Federal Courthouse. It's a picturesque clam shack at the waters edge in Boston. The food's excellent here & the service is better. Next time you're in Boston, visit them. I'm not too wild about this place, because it gets too packed with the office workers after 4 in the afternoon, like a little too much if you know what I mean.

Yet, I have another good place to put on your list, it's the East Coast Grill & Raw Bar located @ 1271 Cambridge St. right in Cambridge. That's where you would definitely enjoy "Cracked Local Jonah Crab Claws" (as appetizers they're $3.00 each) No deck though as you're in the city at this type of a place. It's pretty unique though and gets crowded as it's quite good here. You probably should put it on your A-list it's really that good:

I saw your post on the Trip Advisor site in the Portsmouth, NH forum today, so you're getting around DollfaceX. Are you finding enough of the famous crab legs in NE, served on a deck yet! I can't think of any others in & around the City of Boston, other than the Barking Crab, tons of places for crab cakes and all that though.

Good luck!
