Knockout in round 1 ? Have you seen how much he aggressively attacks in his last few fights ? Pretty much none. Have you ever watched McGregor ? He can take serious hits and go relatively unphased.
I hate Mayweather but I do expect him to win, Id LOVE to see him lose though. Either way both will make bank, which is all this abomination of a fight is about.
I really don't care for either fighter but I think Mayweather will win easily. Not sure he will knock him out but he will easily dodge McGregor's punches and probably be able to land at will. It's a money grab and Dana White is becoming the new "Don King" of MMA. Anything for a buck.
I think Mayweather by TKO in round 9. The early rounds will be Mayweather trying to figure out McGregor's unique style, but McGregor will be winded pretty quickly and Floyd will begin to pick him apart.
Mayweather will win and McGregor doesn't care if he wins or loses.
For McGregor, this is an opportunity to make the kind of cash that MMA fighters only dream of at night. If Connor loses, it doesn't affect his legacy since he's not an elite all-time great boxer. He's playing with house money so there's no real downside to losing.
Mayweather doesn't want to lose and he knows he won't barring some fluke. Money Mayweather is using this as a chance to make more money and cut into UFC/MMA. While his plan isn't clear yet, I think he wants to show MMA fighters that there's so much money being left on the table. An MMA champion may be the best overall fighter in the world and make a fraction of what a boxing champion makes. Floyd is all about $$$ and he sees that the UFC is a gold mine that he can access. Lets face it, Floyd is American, black, cocky, rich and a defensive tactician. All the traits that make (mostly white) fans hate him. Change any two of those traits and his number of fans would probably double. It's also why his fights pull in so much money. Him and Connor understand the business side of fighting, but other MMA stars may start to catch up if Connor can be the "Floyd" of MMA so to speak.
As for fighting, Floyd's head movement and footwork versus McGregor is like comparing the modern U.S. or Israeli military weapons to the sword/shield of Sparta. Connor will get gassed even if Floyd doesn't run and just bobs and weaves. Hall of Fame boxers struggle to hit him and Connor won't be an exception.
Three or four rounds at the most. As soon as Mayweather figures out he can't be hit, he'll turn up the pressure and end it with a bloody TKO. This has mismatch written all over it.
I think McGregor will either shock the world with a knockdown or KO in the first couple of rounds, or (much more likely) Floyd will put on a 12 round boxing clinic.
I think Mayweather plays it somewhat cautious at first, picks McGregor apart, turns up the volume, starts wobbling him with hard, clean shots that Conor can't see coming, and then puts him away by either a TKO or clean KO.
