Hey everyone, was wondering what towns within 30-45 mins of Burlington you think may have the highest elevation. Looking for "mountain town" vibe and as much snow as you can get in the region. Also if anyone has a link to a list of the elevations of most major towns in VT it would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Underhill, Jericho, Bolton. Elevations would be all over the place. Some parts of town are lower, some are a lot higher. Parts of Starksboro and Bristol are higher in elevation and barely within your 45 minute range.
Not sure what you mean by "mountain town vibe".

I take it you are a skier? Don't know about elevation, but Stowe definitely has the best ski town vibe close to Burlington. Warren, Waitsfield, etc. also have that vibe but they are a bit of a drive from Burlington. Jericho, Underhill, etc. have to skiing, elevation, and snow but are more local-oriented with a "real" VT vibe rather than a ski VT vibe.

I agree.. a lot of these towns have their own things going for them but the ski industry is still a significant part of it.

The down towns are probably around 1000 or so, ft with the mountains going up to 4000 ft.

Jay Peak supposedly has the most snow in the state but I don't know how the town is.

Are you looking to live up on the mountain?

As noted above then. Underhill. Bolton, Huntington, parts of Starksboro, Lincoln.
