I was going to suggest the same thing since alcohol sales will boost their bottom line tremondously. Having worked in the restaurant business and having relatives own one it is a very taxing & brutal business that you have to really like in order to continue it.
No business will prosper if your heart is no longer in it and if that's the case maybe it is time to get out while you still are solvent as a business.

I'd punt. There are plenty of ways to tread water with a LOT less stress and, for that matter, overhead.
