California's Most Wanted Fugitives - California Deptartment of Justice - Office of the Attorney General

I would point out that in looking at this page many years ago, it was dominated by African American males, with the occasional Caucasian or mixed male; every now and then a Hispanic male. Never any females. The list now paints a different picture.

No, I don't know if any of these guys are illegals.

My question though: has crime in California changed such that Hispanics are now primarily the ones committing the most egregious of crimes, and if so, when did that change? Was there a singular event or pattern of events that led up to this?

Makes me embarrassed to be Latino Many of those vatos are gang members but it seems much of the offenses were random murders or rapes by violent thugs. Hispanics make up a big percentage of the population especially in South California and the Central Valley so their representation among criminals would be high anyway. Factor in poverty and gangs = crime.

Regardless of excuse, latinos are over represented on this list.

I agree, we need more & better caucasian fugitive criminals. Evidently, the ones we do have are too easy to catch. (Or it could be just that latinos find it much easier to disappear in Mexico if they find themselves on the run from the law.)

How do you explain the extremely high percentage of Blacks in prison? Are 50% Haitians who sneak into America?

You seem to shy away from anything other than superficiality. It's like the lung cancer patient who has no clue that smoking cigarettes is killing him. To just point out ethnicity without any intelligent look into cause and effect is shortsighted and meaningless.
