If Californians are dumb enough to elect Jerry Brown and get rid of 2/3 super majority then it will only expedite the inevitable...continued over-taxation, over-leveraging with liabilities (bonds/employee-pensions) out of control spending, and sink in Deep Ocean of debt. Is California the next Greece anyone? 2/3 is the only check and balance that forces both highly partisan parties in legislature and governor to compromise! Without it taxes are almost certain to go UP UP Up Up UP Up!!!!

One of Jerry Brown campaign promises is no taxes without voter approval, if the 2/3 supermajority is repealed by ballot initiative this coming up November, all the legislature will need is a simply majority (50% + 1) to raise your taxes... Where/how would voter approval be weighted in process? Do you honestly think the Legislature is going to subject every tax increase bill to voter approval..that is not only impractical but impossible. Common people start thinking!!!!

Also just in case you've had a blindfold on this whole time Fiorina, unlike Boxer is living in current century, its a flat-world out there people. There are tough decisions that need to be made from time to time, in the best interest of the majority. Boxer concentrates on jobs lost but fails to mention the thousands of more jobs saved because of the jobs that were cut. It’s been done throughout history in the past. GM and Ford both had to do the same in order to avoid bankruptcy (everybody looses their jobs!!!) May not necessarily be the right decision but it is most certainly the best decision for majority involved.
. ... Boxer is the main drive behind restricting water that is so badly needed in Central Valley for agricultural irrigation. She is sole responsible for the staggeringly double digit unemployment in that region. Talk about shipping jobs oversees...especially jobs in one of California largest industries, Agriculture. She won’t turn the water on in the Central Valley so that a few endangered fishes in the delta wont go extinct!

Lastly, Fiorina stated her opposition for gay marriage but is all FOR Civil Unions..I have a solution how about the government gets out of marriage business and ISSUE/GRANT ALL COUPLES (Heterosexual and Homosexual alike) a Civil union. It solves the problem, treats all EQUALLY and everybody is happy. Marriage is a religious sacrament that government shouldn’t have a say in. Marriage= Region sacrament, Civial Union= Government nuptial contract

The current pollution regulations are helping to send more jobs away from the state than Fiorina ever eliminated. No one likes polution but everyone wants a job. Lets keep industry here and get rid of some of these regulations that are on the books. As far as same sex marriage, the majority of the state is also for a ban on it. The people spoke and the courts took the peoples vote away.

Campbell came out of the OC republican scene. He is much more conservative then Fiorina.

Boxer on the other hand is a vapid left wing hack who could'nt even get the endorsement of the Democratic leaning LA Times in her own primary. She is the biggest walking example of the Peter Principle in US politics today and a total failure as a senator in serving the people of CA.

I don't agree politically with Dianne Feintein, but I respect her as a politican and a state leader. Boxer is just a bad joke.

Why does an animal which is the product of possibly tens of millions of years of evolution have to go extinct because humans can't manage their own vital resources?

It seems to be a common tactic for those willing to let the delta smelt go extinct to hold up their fingers to show how small the fish is, as if that makes it insignificant and not worth saving.

The regulatory approval process should be streamlined as much as possible but the standards have to stay as is or progressively tightened. Our state is already too polluted. Cleaning up messes is always more costly than not creating it in the first place.

Boxer could be the poster child for "San Francisco Values" and the example for why socialism is such a failure. She could trade places and jobs with Nancy Pelosi and no one would notice the difference. Barbara "Dont call me Ma'am" Boxers public humiliation of General Walsh was a huge blunder that will cost her thousands of votes and possibly the election. She has always been strongly anti military, anti national defense.

Boxer lives playing the race card. She is way too comfortable in her position and needs to be thrown out - just like so many incumbents (of both parties).

Boxer = same old wasteful corrupt Washington politics

What do you think about it?
Ahhh she sees the light at the end of the tunnel....and it is a Burlington Northern heading at her full speed ahead.

I do not think Campbell is more conservative than Fiorina. In-fact the Bible-Belt Republicans have targeted Campbell because they think he is pro-gay marriage. Campbell has always held moderate views more in line with his Bay Area district; btw I don't think Campbell has any Orange county ties.
