At issue, cops have been shot in several states, all within 24 hours. Unless you've ever been one, like I have,....never mind....they won't let me say it!
This story about cop shootings is disturbing and making the media rounds which is to be expected in today’s instant media. The thing I don't understand with today’s media reporting is they are selective on what they report and in a particular case very disturbing.

If there was an assassination attempt on Jerry Brown you would expect worldwide coverage especially when someone was killed in the attempt. But there was an assassination attempt on your Governor Jay Nixon but there is virtually no coverage in the mainstream media. The assassin actually made a mistake and slit the throat of who he thought was Jay Nixon, because Nixon was at the scene, but the assassin killed the dean of Penn Valley College instead where Nixon was scheduled to appear.

You are in MO, why no coverage on this assassination attempt but the AZ shooting made big time news? Did you know about it?

Actually, no I didn't. But in researching it I can certainly see what firebrand, reactionary, inflamatory, truly unbalanced, wacko, so far right-wing you're aslmost left drivel you rely upon for news sources.

If there was really anything to it, the mainstream press would have picked up on it as would our local press. We may be small and back-woods but we ain't stupid!

I never quoted a news source?

“If there was anything to it”???? Are you crazy? This was a real assassination attempt by a person wearing a bullet-proof vest and he slit the throat of the Dean of a college who died. This story was kept out of the mainstream media because the assassin, 22 year old Casey Brezik, is a hard core left-winger, environmental extremist, anti-capitalist, anti-Zionism, radical Islam.

You should be concerned that your own state media and mainstream media are controlling what you know or don’t know.

Here's a list of salaries for public employees for 2009. One firefighter from Mountain View has managed to collect (with overtime) $1.229 million between 2005 and 2010 Where can I get a gig like this?? Keep paying your taxes suckers!

Looking at these salaries makes me sick to my stomach. This is a total rip-off on the tax payers.

Here is what upsets me: People whine about the pay and incentives NOW. Where were you when this was brought to the taxpayer and it was. The retirement system was VOTED on by the People of Kalifornia and approved by them. Now it's an issue.

Whine, but look in the mirror. It is your fault.

Although it was cool to see I made 35K in OT in 2009.

What election was this voted on? I would like to see information provided to the voters.
