Not sure if that is an accurate stat, but the big picture is that there has been a net out migration of natural born US Citizens from California the last while. And California is no longer the internal migration magnet it once was.

Funny (strange -- not haha), same thing can be said of my youth ...

Dealing with a multitude of different cultures, peoples and races is a fact of life in urban California. If you live in any mid-sized city, you will deal with a lot of diversity.

In the major metropolitan areas, you will meet immigrants from all over the world. Whereas, in the very poor areas, especially in small towns in the Central Valley, you mostly encounter poor Mexican immigrants.

Although even here in the "yuppie" Bay Area the multitudes of the Mexican diaspora cannot be missed.

You ***** and moan about too many Mexicans taking over, other generations that came before you bitched about the Chinese, Slavs, Irish, Germans, Jews, Catholics, Italians etc etc. Theres always a pariah immigrant group to fear. They're going to take over, we're all going to have to learn their language, pray in their church, eat their food and pretty soon America as we know it will just be a distant memory. Get over get over it. Its always been this way.

Yep, darn tootin if them illegals was a bunch of 19 year old Swedish girls we would hear a lot more sympathy for the illegals (at least from the men of America)

Nobody ever seems to talk about the European au pairs that overstay their visa, must be millions of them.
