If I were born and raised in the PRC, and had the same personality I have, I would do almost anything to leave that hell hole and come to the US. I write this from the perspective of much time spent in the PRC, mostly for business.

No I don't, rather pointing out the absurdity of expecting every area of the country to be affordable to the middle-class.

You're not wealthy as a result there are going to be some areas that are outside of what you can comfortably afford. Deal with it and stop whining. There are plenty of areas within California and outside of California that are affordable to the middle-class....

Umm...huh? Why would I explain to you that you should move and commute? When did I ever suggest that? All I said is that there are affordable communities with good schools inland. But sure, I'll name one in Northern California:

Folsom Schools - Folsom, CA | GreatSchools

Here is one in Southern:

Temecula Schools - Temecula, CA | GreatSchools

And just think, if you knew what you were doing this trade could have been much more profitable.... And why brag about a $1,000 gain. That's pocket change.....and you risked $20,000 to get it. Just go back to whining about being middle-class.

The absurdity is in competing with idiots who run up asset prices beyond rational or reasonable valuation .. In all markets this is a stupid practice unless you already own the asset and are selling to the morons bidding it up..

Was that another unfounded insult? Respond to the vancouver video and parallels to the bay area and leave me out of the debate. My wealth and actual ability to 'afford' to stay here (whatever that means) .. has nothing to do w/ the broader trend and observation. You don't like when someone points out the truth about an issue because it flies in the face of the fantasy picture you try to paint about California.

Because, I am drawing attention to the fact that the 'amazing' of California is restricted to mostly the coastal regions and there isn't that much amazingness jobs wise or etc. in inland California. Further, given the fact that, no matter where you reside in California, you are still subject to the high state taxes.. Pushing Inland California like its a great alternative .. Seems like a b.s draw to me.

If you knew anything about trading/investing/risk and how to do math you'd understand a 5% turn around in a week on $20k is nothing to sneeze at. Multiply this by 5-10 other such (net profit) trades at 40-50% of the capital in a portfolio on a regular basis and you'd understand avg.ing this on a monthly basis is not pocket change... The tax implications in California aren't either.

Here is the close price :
34.71 +1.52 (4.58%)
After Hours: 34.57 -0.14 (-0.40%)
Apr 9, 5:50PM EDT

Here is where I sold :
35.21

Please explain how I trade this for more profit ..

Explain to me how to trade resistance/support levels and get in and out of a stock frequently to gain 2x-3x more than the long term % increase in the stock.
Go back to trolling harder.

The following have parallels directly to the link the OP Posted :

Highlights from videos:
*A bright recent graduate -> professional worker living in Vancouver indicates how several of her friends have left due to the absurd real-estate pricing
* Families are having kids into their late 40's because they can't afford them due to real-estate
* Middle class people are leaving
* A broad range of young adults are being advised by their parents to seek prosperity elsewhere. Given the cost of living, it isn't to be found in Vancouver.
* The squeeze generation (under 45) are having less children or no children at all due to the cost of real-estate making kids expensive
Can't happen here? Already happening :
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...I428.DTL&tsp=1
Families' exodus leaves S.F. with lowest pct. of children in U.S.

- Social impacts (delayed families.. no kids at all)
- Quality of life impact (families are struggling)
- People who are the future of the area are leaving and pursuing a better life elsewhere.

I'm not sure why it's a bad thing when a country's elite wishes to relocate here. The fear up til now has been we've been importing too much poverty & unskilled labor from other countries in recent years. If they open up businesses here (highly likely), it will create jobs and all the (American-mandated) benefits which come with them.

Watch the videos I posted and see why its a big problem in Vancouver.... and in parallel here...
Local wage is x .. you import people who make 10x while wages stay at x ..
The city is already built out w/ amenities and social services.. more revenue is not needed
Rent/buy prices of homes go up .. 33% of people's pay goes towards this expense...
Who benefits here? It would seem the people who lived there are now screwed over... But hey, you can parade on TV and forums and say, everyone wants to live in your city...
Same house priced at : x .. now goes for 2x .. yippity-doo-dah, now more of a local workers income has to go towards paying rent .. or buying it ..

And $1 million over two years .. 10 minimum wage jobs is peanuts when the reward is being able to get permanent residency for you and your whole family.
When you have a mature economy like America, you don't want to have to import anything.. If you are having problems growing it in-house, resources should be directed towards fixing that problem .. Not importing attempting to 'import' it through sketchy programs such as these. The rich pushing up prices of everything for people's whose salaries are going nowhere and creating min. wage jobs to meet requirements doesn't exactly sound like a net positive to me... Unless you are attempting to make QOL worse for American citizens.

and here .. because it needs to be spelled out :
"Research by professor Bill Watkins of California Lutheran University over the past decade reveals that San Francisco is shedding its middle-class population at double the state rate. The city, however, is not losing low-income people at nearly the state's pace -- and is gaining wealthy residents at far more than California's overall rate. In short, we are replacing our middle class with a rich elite and a burgeoning underclass. Watkins' research also reveals that San Francisco is going gray. The number of city residents between ages 45 and 64 has climbed, while the count of those aged 20 to 44 has dropped. The city, it seems, has become a target destination for the wealthy and retirees. These are not the people who want to make sacrifices now to shore up the city's future.

"Wealthier people are consuming," Watkins says. "They don't want to build a future. They don't have a reason to invest in the community." For that matter, neither do young people -- because their futures likely involve moving out of San Francisco. According to Joel Kotkin, "San Francisco is Disneyland for adults, or a place people go until they grow up."

The stage is set for San Francisco to run on inertia. The city's poor are unable to effect a sea change; the young, nomadic population is uninterested; and the wealthy and older are unwilling."
