Good to see a PA company move to CA only to go bankrupt in their idiocy in moving to one of the worst states to do business in.

They should have moved to Texas. Or any other state EXCEPT CA!

Not everyone is interested in settling for the homely girl.

California is that pretty girl with the cold sore and a low credit rating. It feels good going in under the drunken sunshine, but ends badly.

Regarding Hoopla, not exactly high tech.

Why do I find this self-depreciating humour funny?!

If that makes you feel better, sure.

Was going to say something about North Dakota being a fat girl with a goofy accent, a parka, and no friends, but... nah. Oh, oops.

You mean a lot of hoopla about nothing?

Only loser companies and mediocre/ garbage talent move to hell holes like North Dakota. Those companies will fold in a few years.

Speaking of North Dakota...would you be willing to live in a deplorable place like this even if the rents are $500/month?

An Oil Town Where Men Are Many, and Women Are Hounded
This of course from someone who is a real high roller of industry no doubt. Perhaps only fools post authoritatively on subjects that they clearly know nothing about.

Oh and good job posting a spin article based completely on unquantifiable anecdotes that was trumped up for the sole purpose that North Dakota has the nerve to base their economic surge on......**GASP** OIL!

Gosh, maybe they should have relied more on tax increases, bailouts, and ethanol subsides?

I would appreciate it if you could refrain from lumping any justifiable skepticism as trolling especially given the source of this thread and the context with which it was posted. Seriously Monty, go find a hobby or something. I do concede that there has been a bit of trolling here from the usual suspects.

As far as Hoopla, let's not pretend that this is some sort of Fortune 50 company that just uprooted and moved tens of thousands of skilled employees out here. They rented an office suite in San Jose, whoopie-doo. This doesn't make any significant progress towards getting California back under double digit unemployment. We're talking about a small company that produces crappy little gaming apps that doesn't appear to deviate too far from the latest Silicon Valley trend that will likely contribute to the next .com bust as YTG has discussed before.
