Norcal could see benefits from a HSR system sooner than Socal would. They need the lower housing prices found in exurb towns more badly than Socal does and Silicon Valley employees have the money to put down on those homes. They probably make enough money to easily afford second cars to leave overnight at the San Jose train station to drive to work from.

Jerry Brown has been very practical otherwise. I just dont get his illogical resistence to common sense on this particular issue.

LA to San Diego should have been built first over anywhere else, you know the 2nd busiest rail corridor in the nation.

Even so, its not that busy.

Aside from killing the project altogether, which is my first choice by far, I will always stick to my assertion that they should have built 2 separate high speed rails, one up north, and one down south, then eventually theyd connect in the middle.

Busier than anywhere else in the state. Improving travel times would likely only make it even busier.
