Please, in Dear God's name, tell me you are not perpetuating that stereotype that California is some gay haven filled with debauchery and superficial people.

In the last twenty years California has somehow turned into that defacto place to go if you are gay and don't have the guts to be yourself and come out in your own hometown or state.

California was never a completely liberal thinking state. It used to be very apolitical. You do your thing and I'll do mine and we'll all live happily together! But somehow things have changed.

Now - back to your main question. You first have to ask yourself why you want to move to California and that will make deciding which of those cities or any others are the right place for you to live.

Oh --- how's this for a stereotype

A "heterosexual male" and a "registered nurse". Now that's what I call an oxymoron!!!

The ratio is best in SF. However, the level of difficulty may be the highest there, of the three.

SB is middle of the road on both scores.

SM is middle of the road on ratio and easiest in terms of level of difficulty.
