Based on the numbers, it looks like tomorrow, we will pass New York and become the number one state for Covid deaths (not per capita but raw number of total deaths). What does that tell you?

Given the fact California has twice the population of New York, why does this surprise anybody? Tells me CA's per capita rate is half that of New York? I don't know, you tell me.

Numbers can tell you almost anything you want them to tell you, with enough creativity.

Case in point. A couple of decades ago, I worked in a call center (crappiest, most horrible place I ever worked). One month, the "supervisor" tried to write me up. His reason: My volume was down by half for the month. When I showed him the signed letter of approval granting me two weeks vacation, meaning I was GONE for half the month, he sat there stonefaced for a minute. And repeated "you only took half the number of calls".

I just got up and walked out after calling that for the BS that it was. And of course, it was never brought up again.

So what's your point here?

Uh huh. Tell us another one. People that have kicked the bucket from stage 3 cancer that also just so happened to catch the China virus on their way out the door don’t count. And the majority of the Rona death counts nation wide are exactly that. Only a couple thousand nation wide have actually died from the China virus alone. Far more have died from suicide and drug overdoses and depression due to the sad state of affairs surrounding the shut downs, job losses, etc than have actually died from the China virus.

As everyone else has told you, raw deaths are not indicative of anything other than a larger population.

California deaths per 100 K: 113.7
New York: 229.2
Arizona: 202.3
Nevada: 154.7
Massachusetts: 220.4
etc.

I guess it’s just like saying Texas has the highest execution numbers but Oklahoma has the highest execution rate. It was the case a while ago I don’t know about nowadays.

Though interesting the list with higher rates per capita aside from Arizona(which has a lot of snow birds from blue states living in its biggest cities) all are very blue progressive states with the harshest restrictions. One can also say that a particular European country also have a much higher rate compared to US a whole or compared to most all US states.

Interesting how Trump gets banned by websites/app companies as he tried to ban WeChat and Tiktok a while ago. I be curious whether did these two websites ban him too?
