Well the few places that we were looking at pretty much solidified that they were, since we have friends who already live there and had relocated and warned us.

Sorry i mispoke about everyone outside cali (there are even many inside cali as well) but the places we checked out were backwards.

LOL, actually I'll take an honest hillbilly over a dishonest educated person any day.

Maybe terrible if you aren't a good fit for the economy. If you lack a college education and have no specialized skills, it's going to be pretty awful here. If you're a teacher, it's very tough. But if you find a niche and find people willing to give you decent money, then you likely won't want to give California up for anything.

I know i think about leaving, but then i remember how much i love it here and how the cultural experiences will not follow me to hillbillyville. Not sure I could handle the narrow mindedness that lives outside California.

Still a great place to visit AND live.
OMG, I can't believe you said that, talk about a narrow minded person, you my friend are a total bore. Anyone with that attitude knows absolutely nothing about the rest of the country or the world. continue living in your little fanasy world. It is people like you that will, eventually ruin a state that used to be the best there was!!!!
