Well, but I think it's a legitimate discussion to have. I wouldn't have posted it, otherwise, and the Times wouldn't have put effort into producing the poll if it wasn't newsworthy.

This forum is the perfect place for a question like this: Do you believe that California's best years have passed?

That's perfect ... you would say that Clarks!
It gets to the crux of our difference.
You're a man and you have a warrior attitude.
As i see it, the more resistance there is, the more gentle and loving the approach need be ... especially if you are dealing with someone who is fragile!
And often, the more fragile the system is, the more resistance to change there will be.

I guess...by that analogy I guess you could say Some Dynamite Causes Floods.

I know. Haven't we discussed this topic over and over again on this forum, regardless of whether or not the LA Times has an article published about it? And all these types of threads [predictably] end up going in the same direction.

Exactly right.

Floods are good, without the annual flood of the Nile Egypt would have never have had civilization.

Floods clear detritus, they clean the gravel beds for fish like trout, salmon, steelhead, to spawn in, no floods, no trout, salmon or steelhead.

Jess ask the ole dynamite tossing warrior here.
