Another bit of paradise gone to crap hey? Whata shame. Had some great summers there back in the day. Volleyball.guitars and backgammon. No body acted inappropriate. Seals and sea lions. Pelicans. It was a great place! RIP!

I always enjoyed the occasional lurking looker that tumbled off the cliff above onto the beach. He would get his name in the paper, and a few questions from his wife.

Kinda sad now, I would like to show my wife the beach and the caves and the little isolated coves, but it is pretty weird there now.

The nude beach immediately south of Point Dume was also called Pirates Cove. Back in the mid 1970s, we young teenagers would take a stroll over there to check out the "naked ladies".

Yep, I can live in SLO County. No problem.
Morro Bay State Park would be a better choice. I know people between housing situtations who have lived there. Montana de Oro would be a bit of a ride out.

I think you will find it hard to be comfortable in San Luis Obispo if you earn only $35,000. The average Single Family Home in a subdivision will be over $500K. Rents are very high due to the college town, about $2500 per month for a 3-4 bedroom home. Schools are good but you really need about $100K a year income to be considered middle class. Anything less an you are likely renting a modest condo or apartment.
