Yeah, but that was during the time that the Republican party was respectful and moderate. It's hard to even compare contemporary Republicans to people like Ronald Reagan. They hate to hear it but governor Reagan was a pragmatist not an ideologue and why people in California often reject Republicans anymore. The Republican party left California not the other way around.

Whitman will be elected because she knows the business world, it's good.California has the third largest unemployment rate in the nation behind Nevada and Michigan.It's enough !

For an entire century, it was really great to be a Republican in California. Followed by 30 years when it was decent to OK.
