Like a ripened fruit waiting to be plucked, Canada has much more to give Quebec before we decide to separate.

It behooves us to enjoy all of the fruits of Canada before broaching the subject of independence.

When the tree of Canada is dry and bears no more fruit, the time for seperation will have arrived.

- All equalization programs must end. No more money being sent to Quebec.

- Quebec and Ontario need to pay up for all of the money stolen from us.

- Ottawa should have little to no say in our economy.

- We should be able to close our borders at will. No waffling with Ottawa.
Interesting.

My former BIL, a native BCer who's barely ever travelled East of Calgary and says he has little interest in doing so (though he and my former SIL have spent every winter for the last 25+ years in Arizona, and they travel around the US), is a bit of a BC separatist.

He says that if ANY province is economically able to separate, BC is. More than Ontario. More than Québec. And certainly more than Alberta.

IMHO the whole "Quebec at all costs type" policies are like throwing money and support into a black hole. If we need to cut one out it's Quebec hands down.
Don't forget the BC separatist "movement"!

My point is that the products in the list, and many more, are petroleum based products. Fake leather is petroleum based. Stop oil production, and people will have to kill animals to get their leather.
"Petroleum products are materials derived from crude oil (petroleum) as it is processed in oil refineries. Unlike petrochemicals, which are a collection of well-defined usually pure chemical compounds, petroleum products are complex mixtures. The majority of petroleum is converted to petroleum products, which includes several classes of fuels."

Petroleum product of the week: artificial leather
"As a substitute material for genuine leather, artificial leather is a mixture of plastic and leather. Synthetic forms of leather are appearing in luxury cars like the BMW i3 (pictured above), the Lexus NX, and the Toyota Prius.

Outside of car upholstery, artificial leather is utilized in several different ways. Industries such as clothing, footwear, and fabrics often rely on the synthetic material. It is also called and marketed as leatherette, vegan leather, pleather, and faux leather."
