Maybe it is helpful to know that we can have a cancer prevention discussion on how to reduce the risk of cancer.
I think it is a good start with this old aged sayings - We are what we eat where we eat to live and not live to eat.
Seems like nobody is interested in cancer prevention but comes to desperation when in need of treatment of cancer , it would be costly - at USD 100,000 or more!

IMHO, which is in line of American Cancer Society comprising of oncologists and specialists, cancer can be prevented with healthy dining just like the old wise saying - you are what you eat. Bon appetitte with this link from ACS - Eat Healthy
It has been discussed ad nausaem. There are many different cancers, therefore many different cancer causes. What might prevent once cancer might put you at risk for another cancer.
There is not one magical cure all for cancer.
There are studies that come out almost daily that say this might prevent cancer, or this causes cancer only to have a study that comes out a year later telling us just the opposite of the original.
The most important thing is DO NOT EAT SUGAR. Sugar helps cancer cells growing. Sugar is "food for cancer cells." Also, raw products prevent cancer. Also, do not eat junk. Cook. Don't buy cheap grocery. They are full of hormones and all kind of crap. 50 years ago cancer was pretty rare thing. Because people cooked at home and they knew what they eat!

Do you have any proof? By proof any studies that have been peer reviewed or done by a reputable research clinic or university.
Yes cancers were around 50 years ago. The outcome then was not good at all. We hear more about it due to people living longer and more treatments around. People are living longer now than they were years ago. As people age the odds of cancer in one way or another showing up goes up. Sugar doesn't have a thing to do with it.

People cooked at home, canned at home, and died from food poisoning and botulism.
You live long enough and you'll probably get cancer. We've cured so many diseases that used to kill people; 'bout all that's left is cancer and heart disease.
More and more young people are getting it, so it's more than just age (I was only 44). Personally, I think birth control pills have caused the breast cancer epidemic. But I am not a medical professional. My uncle died at 46 of colon cancer and he ate very healthily. I don't know what it is....but it's not age.
There is no prevention for cancer. If you're a human, you can get it.
I agree that diet and exercise help the person in general but I don't believe there's a prevention. It can strike anyone at any age.

That is exactly right. No matter what some people do, there is a always a chance of getting cancer.
Diet and other lifestyle choices help, however it is never 100%. There are factors such as environment and genetics that are also factors.
I am not sure the role of genetics, but for breast cancer (for example), the BRAC gene is found in less than 5% of women who get BC (and are tested for it). BUT..*drum roll*....out of those that DO carry it, they have an 85% chance or higher of getting breast or ovarian cancer.
So genetics does play a prominent role, but apparently in a very small segment of these cancer patients.
