The effects on hair are so diverse. I was on oral chemo for six months. I lost some hair but never completely bald. All my life I had poker-straight hair. My hair is now wavy. And looks nicer than it ever did. I was told this is referred to as "chemo curl".
My prayers for your dad, Tony.

He is just getting chemo right now. If it shrinks ( hopefully ) he might get surgery or radiation.

Are you suggesting that the alternative medicine crowd has a research-based, scientifically-proven and clinicially effective treatment for pancreatic cancer, based on gathering empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of scientific reasoning?

Tony, this is the question to ask someone who suggests alternative treatments. If they can't provide scientific answers, they are going to do more harm than good.

We just got back from his 3rd chemo treatment. I have really good news. His Liver function is improving and his liver enzymes are dropping. Also, his glucose is near normal. He also gained 6 lbs. =)

The doctor also said that his hair should grow back 3 months into the chemo. My dad didn't lose any hair. He wanted me to buzz it off because it was thining out.

My dad went today for his 4th chemo treatment but he was sent home because his immune system is weak. It's only 2 points away from normal. He also lost 5 lbs from 2 weeks ago. My dad had food poisoning last week so maybe that is why his white blood cells are low.
