Morning Cyn and friends!

940 and HDL, how amazing is this. 2 of the most caring people that were there for me when my Mom passed in 2007. Great to see you both.

Cyn~I hate the cold, down to 22 tonight and down to 17 tomorrow night. Time for some indoor stuff. Hope it won't be too hard on hubby.

The cold weather is harder now on my DH--for some reason he just can't keep warm unless it's hot out. His poor body is always cold when I rub him and his hand and feet are like ice. I do make him wear slippers and socks which he never did before. I'm considering getting him one of those warm up throws to wear over his lap while he is in his chair because keeping the heater at a higher temperature is starting to be costly--but if need be we will just do it anyhow. I also always worry about my outside animals in the extreme cold although they do have shelters and plenty of blankets. I just don't like the cold much anymore--never use to bother me but now it's not me so much just everything I care about so I worry!

We women are born nurturers. We live, therefore we worry. You wouldn't be cyn unless you did so. Glad hubby had a good day and that you did as a result. HUgs!

Nice to read DH had a good day how about try using an electric blanket where he sits? That wouldn't be running constantly like a space heater does and it would use less electricity I would imagine. We lose body heat through our head too how about him wearing a sock hat in the house? At least some things to think about.

We got 2" of snow last night but the wind is making drifts like 10' tall. I'm staying inside.

When I lived up north I always wore a toke in the house in the winter and especially when I slept...to keep me warm. I also wore socks to bed for the same reason. If your feet and your head are warm....you have it pretty much made.

One of the problems my wife faced the last month was......... too hot............too cold......too hot.......too cold

( I used to joke that she needed a new thermostat.........she always smiled at that )

I don't know if that symptom was from ALS or not.

You have to know that your Dad will always know of your love and respect for him, and I'm sure he treasures the good days that you and your family share with him, too.

I am so tired of drizzle/rain/cloudy weather. I do miss my CA weather. I had no idea this area had so much cloud cover and drizzle. I can take the hard summer rains but his is stupid! Day after day of just nothing but dampness!
