my sassy has still not returned.ive placed another ad in the paper. i cant believe no one has seen her. i just hope she isnt hurt some where. it'll be 2 weeks on thurs. people have told me that their cats have gone missing for a month and still returned home. i keep on praying.
I'm so sorry. Do you have an online local "paper" that lists missing animals (my area does)? I hope you find her soon!

I so hope your kitty comes home soon. I know what you're going through. I will pray for her safe return. Yes, I have heard cats have been gone for very long stretches of time and have come back! so don't give up hope.
I know how it feels, we've "lost" kitties that have come back eventually.
We gave up hope of finding Marshmallow, when he just came home. One night I was cooking some turkey, and had the windows open. I think the odor of the turkey attracted him.
Try using scents and smells to attract. Cook something with meat and leave windows open. Your kitty might just be close by, and can't find his way!
Other tricks I used:
If you have any used litter, put it outside. Also, hang DIRTY clothes out, the smellier the better, anything with your scent on it.
Compile a list of all vets, clilnics, and shelters within 20-30 miles and send all a nicely worded email, with description, dates, etc. You never know when someone might have found him and taken him to a vet. For vets, offer to pay vet bills, that's a real incentive!
Do the usual, post flyers, etc.
Call local road authorities, and sanatation, ask if they've found any dead animals recently----

Is Sassy back? I hope so. Keep us posted. Keep the faith. I know it's hard I cried all the time until Coco came back.
