Has anyone tried this yet? Do the ingredients look good and balanced. I also feed wet food. Just looking for a new dry food because one of my cats prefers dry.

No good. Look at all the filler. The ingredients are listed by weight before processing. chicken is full of water. Once the water is removed from the product, that chicken drops to below all those other undesirable ingredients. So really what you've got is CHICKEN MEAL, BROWN RICE, BREWERS RICE, CHICKEN BY-PRODUCT MEAL, DRIED PLAIN BEET PULP, POWDERED CELLULOSE as the first ingredients.

Powdered cellulose is sawdust by the way. usually from "pine roots".

All those fruits and vegetables are nothing but filler and spinach is very bad for cats, being too high in calcium oxalate for them.

Besides, it doesn't matter if one of your cats "prefers dry". Cats prefer dry because the dry food is sprayed with flavor enhancers, it's the only way pet food manufacturers can get cats to eat something that is so foreign to their nature as obligate carnivores. Feed all your cats a canned diet. So much better for them.

Try a grain-free kibble; my cats like Blue Buffalo Wilderness and Spot's Stew.

That looks like fairly standard dry food to me, nothing special. It has several ingredients I avoid, particularly brewers rice, chicken by-product meal, and powdered cellulose.

What would you suggest as a good dry cat food for someone on a budget. And please, no replies about how bad it is. I am just asking for some good brand recommendations.

Then perhaps just ask your Veterinarian.

There are a lot of dry food haters on this forum, and to each his or her own. Personally, every cat I have had has been fed Iams all their lives, and each one has had perfect health, living to 16-17 years old with no illnesses ever along the way. I occasionally give Lucky and Daisy a small treat of Fancy Feast wet food, but Chewy turns up his nose at anything but dry Iams.

So, you will probably get a lot of responses about how bad dry is, but this is really a personal decision and no one's business but your own. As far as asking our Vet, we go to a Cat only Vet, and when I asked him about dry vs wet his response is that whatever we are doing is working, based on how healthy our little buddies are, so don't change a thing.

Don

The only grocery store brand I will feed my cats is Purina One Beyond chicken; it at least has no corn in it.
